Facing a Cancer Diagnosis
Facing cancer is not easy but you do have a choice on how you handle it. As we have all heard before attitude in life is everything.

You can choose to be controlled by the disease or you can choose to participate in your health and recovery.

How do you do that?

Follow these basic steps:

Become your own activist
. Ask questions. Before you get to the doctors office, write down your questions so that when you leave the office you will have the information you require.

Get a 2nd opinion. Remember this is a very important time in your life. Take the steps necessary so that you feel comfortable with the decisions you make.

Get Support. Support and sharing your feelings is very important. By trying a Cancer Coach you are taking a proactive approach to your illness. It is important to share your feelings. Many people say think positive. A cancer coach shows you that there is life beyond cancer.

Ask for help from friends or relatives. If you do not have a supportive circle of people around you, call for a cancer coach, they are there to help. Social services also offer a wide array of help.

Seek Counseling. If you have difficulty overcoming emotional hurdles, get professional help. This does not mean your "not right", it does mean you recognize emotional help is a significant aspect of your recovery.

Exercise. Exercise helps us to feel better. If you are not able to do a lot of exercise go for a walk.

Smile or Laugh. As much as possible, don't let cancer interfere with your capacity to enjoy each day.

Communicate. Don't keep your feelings inside.

Don't Give Up, You can do it!!!!
